Bedrooms

All four bedrooms are on the top floor. All but one have brand new carpet and the stairs have been recarpeted too.The Master bedroom is a good size. We have a California King size bed and two chests of drawers and they all fit great. The Master bedroom is on the back side of the unit.
Beautiful forest views from the window in the bedroom, window faces west.
Bedroom number 2 we use as an office. It has hardwood floors and a nice window view of the forest.
There are two bedrooms on the East side of the house. Here is bedroom number 3.
And here is bedroom number 4.This is the upstairs hall, looking down the stairs towards the living room and front door, and towards the bathroom and bedrooms 3 and 4.

Living Room

The living room has been painted in a warm neutral that is consistent throughout the house. It features beautiful hardwood floors. In addition to the walls, all ceilings in the house and well as the closet interiors have been painted fresh white.
Another view looking towards the stairs and into the kitchen.
This view shows the big beautiful picture window in the front. Window has wide slat blinds and curtain rod.

Beautifully Remodeled Basement

The basement is brand new, made of quality stud and drywall construction with acoustic ceiling and recessed lighting.
The carpet is very plush stylish frieze. All are very neutral inviting colors. You will love this space, there is lots of room.
The basement has tons of storage! A large closet (center) has built in wire shelve system. Closet on right keeps furnace room separate and tucked away. Far right door leads to the storage and laundry room, as well as a walk out basement with new vinyl sliding glass door.
The stairs to the basement have been enclosed and carpeted. The walls are finished nicely with molding detail and a beautiful light fixture. Just so you can picture what we have done to fix it up...really, it was scary before! We didn't even like to come down there, and definitely didn't like the kids to play on or around those dangerous stairs! There were only two little spindly light bulbs for the entire basement. Now with a total makeover, it is so light and comfortable that we spend lots of time here!

Kitchen

The kitchen faces the forest and has a large scenic view. You never have anyone peeking in your back window! We enjoy watching deer, wild turkey, squirrels, birds and rabbits from our kitchen window. Here is a view of the eating area looking toward the door to the basement.
This view shows the other side of the eating area.
This is the view of the kitchen. Both the chandelier over the eating area and kitchen light fixture are upgrades, making a well-lit space. The stainless steel in-mount microwave is also an upgrade, and is a negotiable item. The oven/range is natural gas. The island in the center offers lots of storage and extra counter space. It is not original to Village Green, but was passed on to us from the previous owners of the unit.A closer view of the sink, stove, and microwave.Overall view of the kitchen. The other side of the kitchen, a closeup of the sink, refrigerator and a part of the roll-out dishwasher.Looking at the corner of the kitchen from the eating area. The dishwasher was also an upgrade we added.

Storage and Laundry Room

The storage room has built in shelves and a work bench, and is an unfinished room. The food shelf on the right is ours and not built in, but the wood shelving and work bench behind are all built in. The electrical box is in the back corner behind the suspended shelf. We installed a bright fluorescent light fixture to illuminate the room, as before it was very dark with one hanging bulb only.
The basement has a walk-out back entrance with recently installed vinyl sliding glass door. We also have a nice walk-out space in the back and our own yard-type area (most units don't have a more private back yard.) Everything behind us is forest, and it makes for a beautiful view. I would take pictures of our back entrance, but we have quite a bit of snow right now and you can't really see the yard.
The washer/dryer space is set up for either an electric or gas dryer.
The utility room (furnace and water heater) has been walled off to make the finished half of the basement more pleasant. You could use it for storage space as well. We are a family of five and so the storage room has to be very utilitarian to keep us in order. (In other words, you see all our miscellaneous stuff in here, so just try to look past it!)

The View from the Front

This is the front view of our unit. The photo was taken in the spring when the tulips were beginning to bloom. There are beautiful groupings of crocus in early spring, then tulips and perrenials fill in and bloom until October. Plantings are established, so you don't have to worry about the yard! Before the tulips, sweet little crocus pop their colorful heads up when the air is still cold.

Really, the tulips are divine! You get a glimpse of the neighborhood moms and children out at play. We have a large front grassy area for play and many other friends nearby, just walk out your door! There are so many friends in Village Green.

More to come!

We are currently in the process of collecting photos of our 4-bedroom Village Green townhouse. We will be posting information and details soon about the place you could call home! We have loved living here, and have a great location with lots of room in our four-bedroom unit. If you have a couple of kids, you couldn’t have it better. We have done a lot of updating to this unit and finished the basement to make it feel more like a home. Let me know if you have any questions at all, I am more than happy to help!
